Hervé, Henry I (McKechnie Section 4)

Hervé is included in this section because on four of his trade labels (Nos 2 - 5) he offers profiles on plaster of Paris. Although no example is available for illustration, it is probable that the silhouette illustrated under the name of William Farthing (q.v.) is Hervé's work. The profiles on glass which Hervé painted under his own name are similar in style to those which bear trade labels of Farthing (q.v., Section Three).
