I have seen one silhouette of a man (better painted than the work which Barrett painted entirely on a black base), showing slight gilding on the sitter's hair and his frock-coat in blue. It was painted on a rectangular piece of card (four inches high), and was probably framed originally in rosewood. The profile was in half-length, with no bust-line termination. It bore Trade Label No. 1, which gives the address 122 Holborn Bars.
