Bellers was primarily a landscape painter of the late 18th century, who exhibited his work at the Free Society of Artists 1761-74. Jackson records him as the artist of painted profiles, on the basis of one example seen. However, no detail of the piece is recorded and no examples of his silhouette work are currently known.
