Hutchinson, J. (McKechnie Section 7)

Included on account of a silhouette sold in 1948 by Blairman of London from the Sutcliffe-Smith collection, and described in the catalogue of the sale as 'Portrait of a Lady, coloured, by J. Hutchinson in gilt frame.' The sitter's face must have been black, since the collection in question consisted entirely of silhouettes. The artist may have been one of several miniaturists named J. Hutchinson, at least one of whom worked in Bath, listed by Foskett.
