Bonner, G. (McKechnie Section 1)

Drawn to my attention by Miss M. Allthorpe-Guyton, of the Castle Museum, Norwich, which houses an example of his work. This is a bust-length silhouette of a boy wearing a peaked cap. It appears to have been cut from black paper, highlighted in gold. It has been stuck to a rectangular piece of card measuring 3 x 2½ in. The style of the sitter's neckwear suggests a date in the early 1840s. The silhouette is signed ‘G. Bonner'.
