Listed in this Section on account of an advertisement, dating from c. 1790-1800 and quoted in Section Two, in which Cheney offers `Likenesses in Miniature Profile, painted on Glass', for which he charged five shillings each, complete with frame. No signed or labelled silhouette on glass, however, has, as far as I know, been recorded.
