See Section Seven for main entry
In Section Seven I quote the text of an advertisement, published in a Derby newspaper in 1811 by this artist, who is probably identical with a miniature painter named John West. He offers 'miniatures from two to six guineas', also 'profiles on card ... in colour at 10s. 6d., on wood, in colours, from one guinea and upwards'. I have seen no example of any of these types of work.
