On his Trade Label No. 3 Crowhurst offers a variety of types of work. Although he does not specifically mention silhouettes in black on ivory, I have seen a signed example; a silhouette of a man. Of cabinet size, and framed in papier mâché, it is painted in black, with detail shown in thinned pigment; no gum arabic was used, and there is no background stippling or painting. The quality of the work is good. The silhouette is signed on the reverse, 'G. Crowhurst.'
