Low, William (McKechnie Section 1)

Recorded both by Jackson and by Foskett as working in Dublin and Belfast c. 1840-50 as miniature painter and producer of silhouettes. There seems to be no record of an example of Low's work.

Working during the 1840s, Low would probably have cut his silhouettes. Since he also painted miniature, his silhouettes were probably painted in gold and/or gum arabic against the usual dark background.
