Introduction:

This silhouette artist is only known through references in the works of collectors; no examples of their work have currently been identified. Jackson’s ‘Dictionary’ records them under the different spelling of ‘E.P.Pulhen’. They are also recorded by Mills under the standard spelling, and Foskett who states they exhibited a miniature at the Royal Academy around 1810.
