Pulham, E. B. (McKechnie Section 1)

Recorded by Jackson (The History of Silhouettes) as E. P. Pulhen; in her Dictionary as E. B. Pulham. Jackson mentions a cut silhouette (signed, and dated 1819) formerly in the Wellesley collection. Mills records this artist, but spells the name Pulhan'. There seems to be no reason to identify Pulham with Mrs James Brook Pulham (née Miss Maria Violet), an artist, recorded by Foskett, who exhibited at the Royal Academy 1808-1811; she is also recorded by Graves, who lists one exhibit (1814) under 'various exhibitions'. Foskett also records an artist named F. Pulham, who painted a miniature (Royal collection) which she dates to c. 1810.
