Although there has been no identified work by George Rouse, Coke in “Confessions of an incurable col-lector” and Jackson both describe an advertisement dated to the mid 18th century, in which a George Rouse offered to “draw” silhouettes of individuals. These could be done at the Bridge Ward Coffee House, London or he could “wait” on ladies and gentlemen in their homes if required.
