Smith, W. Hawke (McKechnie Section 2)

Recorded by Jackson (Dictionary), who had seen one silhouette of a man (1825) which she describes as good painted work. There is also a note among Woodiwiss’ papers stating that he had seen another silhouette, which he dated to c. 1820. The artist signed his work ‘W. Hawke Smith’ on the front of the profile, beneath the bust-line.
