Jackson’s ‘Dictionary’ records J Shepherd as the artist of a cut silhouette of a Mrs M Robinson sold by Sotheby and Company, London, on 9 March 1933. She mentions no date and describes it as of “poor quality”. This piece appears to not have survived, and nothing is known of Shepherd’s life or career.
