Two artists named Palmer are recorded, without initials, by Jackson (Dictionary). To one she attributes a full-length silhouette of a dancing figure; to the other, a silhouette entitled Harry Bluff, a Tar for all Weathers. Both these pieces were cut work. The former was decorated and pencilled with gold lines; the latter was decorated in pen. Each is signed 'Palmer'. It seems likely that these two pieces of genre type might well be from the same hand.
