On his trade label Godfrey mentions that he reduces profiles for jewellery setting. According to Mayne, Godfrey's silhouettes painted for jewellery setting were very popular, and were painted on ivory, although this material is not specified on the trade label. No example is currently available, but since Godfrey mentions bronzed work on the label, we can assume that some bronzing was included on these ivory pieces. Touches of both gold and white are said to have been seen on the artist's work on glass; any silhouette on ivory might have been similarly embellished.
