Introduction:
F R Davis is known simply from four silhouettes sold by Sotheby and Company, London, 11 February 1932. They were dated in the sale catalogue to c1820, and depicted “Master Opie, Lucien Buono-parte, General Pichegru, and the Marquis Wellesley”.
